Kwame Mensah
The Firestarter
“No long ting! Straight back to the yard.”
The cast
Each one plays differently and talks about it differently. The numbers on every card are derived from the settings the engine actually plays with — not written for this page. A card that described a temperament the engine does not play would be a lie.
Tap a card for how they play. The line under each name is one of their own, said at a real table when the thing it refers to actually happened.
The Firestarter
“No long ting! Straight back to the yard.”
Sees every kick on the board and takes it, whatever it costs him. Plays for the reaction more than the win, and bounces straight back from a setback.
Every number above is derived from the settings the engine actually plays with, not written for the page. The die is not one of them — every seat at a Ludoo table draws from the same dice.
The Guru
“Nothing personal. You were about to be a problem.”
Gets his own pieces home before anything else, and only kicks when it clearly pays. Knows every rule and enjoys the company.

The Diplomat
“You were the closest to home. That was all.”
Says almost nothing. Offers you an alliance while somebody else is winning, and takes you the moment they are not.
Every number above is derived from the settings the engine actually plays with, not written for the page. The die is not one of them — every seat at a Ludoo table draws from the same dice.
The Slow Burn
“Backwards, and now I'm nearly home. Both at once.”
Quiet early, ruthless late. Misses the odd back kick, but never the one that lands her the far side of her own home column.
Every number above is derived from the settings the engine actually plays with, not written for the page. The die is not one of them — every seat at a Ludoo table draws from the same dice.
The Architect
“I've had that planned for four turns.”
Builds walls and leaves them standing. Short of sixes, especially early, and wins on tactics anyway.
Every number above is derived from the settings the engine actually plays with, not written for the page. The die is not one of them — every seat at a Ludoo table draws from the same dice.
The King
“LUDO KING. Say it back to me.”
Announces every kick he makes and calls himself the Ludo King regardless of the score. Misses a back kick now and then; never misses the chance to stop you getting home.
Every number above is derived from the settings the engine actually plays with, not written for the page. The die is not one of them — every seat at a Ludoo table draws from the same dice.
The Grudge
“You ate mine. I've eaten yours.”
Take one of her pieces and she will spend the rest of the match taking yours, whoever wins. Misses kicks; never misses the one you missed.

The cast grows. Each new one has to play differently enough to be worth sitting down against — a new face with the same numbers is a reskin, and nobody wants to beat a reskin.
How much a kick is worth to them against everything else they could do with the same number.
How willing they are to leave a piece somewhere it can be taken.
How often they see a kick that is available — forward, backward, across a lane, or on your home run.
How readily they put two pieces on one square and leave them there.
How long they carry it after you take one of theirs.
How much you will hear about all of the above.
Sign in and they carry what they learn from one match to the next. A guest plays exactly the same game — nothing is remembered between matches.
